The Flood Warning continues for
the Tennessee River at Whitesburg
* until Friday evening
* at 7 PM Thursday the stage was 17.0 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 17.0 feet
* forecast... the river will remain around flood stage through Friday
afternoon.
* Impact... at 17.0 feet... lowland flooding begins. Some access roads
in the area become flooded.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 16.6 feet
on Feb 8 2004.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Paint Rock river near Woodville
* until Friday afternoon
* at 7 PM Thursday the stage was 17.8 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 16.0 feet
* forecast... the river will continue to fall... and will fall below
flood stage by tomorrow morning.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... water is covering Alabama State Route 65
about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County roads in
Paint Rock Valley are flooded... including Jackson County Road 20.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5 feet
on may 6 2003.
