Fire Weather Warning

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 11 am this morning to
6 PM CST this evening for low humidity for all of northern Alabama...

* affected areas: Lauderdale... Colbert... Franklin al...
Lawrence... Limestone... Madison... Morgan... Marshall...
Jackson... DeKalb... and Cullman counties.

* Timing: mainly this afternoon.

* Relative humidity: values will fall well below 25 percent for at
least four hours or more later today.

* Impacts: a dry Arctic air mass will persist across northern Alabama
today... resulting in critical fire weather conditions. Low relative
humidity values are again possible on Monday before Gulf moisture
increases across the region Monday night and Tuesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. Low relative humidity
over a prolonged period will increase fire growth potential.
