CST Monday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 am to 6 PM CST
Monday.

* Timing... sleet and snow will begin after midnight tonight across
west central Arkansas... and after sunrise across central and
eastern Arkansas. As warmer temperatures above the surface move
north... the snow and sleet will mix with freezing rain by mid
day... and continue through the afternoon hours. The
precipitation will begin to taper off in the evening... with
drizzle or freezing drizzle possible Monday night.

* Snow accumulations... two to four inches of snow and sleet are
expected in areas north of a Marshall to Batesville line...
before precipitation mixes with freezing rain. One to two
inches of snow and sleet are possible south of this area... and
north of a Murfreesboro... to Little Rock... to Augusta line.

* Ice accumulations... ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an
inch are possible... although just a few hundredths will be
more common.

* Impact... travel conditions will be treacherous starting late
tonight and continuing into Monday... as roadways become ice
and snow covered.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
