Fire Weather Warning


... Red flag warning in effect from noon to 8 PM MST Wednesday for
strong winds and low relative humidity...

... Red flag warning in effect from noon to 8 PM MST Thursday for
strong winds and low relative humidity...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a red flag
warning for strong winds and low relative humidity... which is in
effect from noon to 8 PM MST Wednesday. A red flag warning has
also been issued from noon to 8 PM MST Thursday. The Fire Weather
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Affected area... Coconino... Navajo... Apache..and the higher
elevations of Yavapai County.

* Timing... noon Wednesday through Wednesday evening... and from
noon Thursday through Thursday evening.

* 20 foot winds... southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* Minimum relative humidity... from 6 to 12 percent.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring or are imminent. A combination of strong
winds and low relative humidities can contribute to extreme fire
behavior.
