... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from noon today to
3 am PST Tuesday...

* timing... this afternoon through tonight.

* Snow level... 5000 to 5500 feet today... lowering rapidly to
3000 to 3500 feet later tonight.

* Snow accumulation... 2 to 4 inches above 4000 feet... with minor
accumulations down to 3000 feet.

* Winds... west 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph this afternoon... becoming
northwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph tonight... strongest
through Interstate 5 corridor.

* Impacts... residents and travelers to the mountains should be
prepared for hazardous winter weather conditions and possible
Road closures. Interstate 5 near the Grapevine and Highway 33 in
the Ventura County mountains could be impacted by snow and gusty
winds tonight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Carry chains... and take extra food... water... and
clothing.
