... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PST this
evening...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PST this
evening for the southern Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Kings
Canyon.

* Snow accumulations: 5 to 8 inches above 6000 feet... and 2 to
5 inches above 4000 feet.

* Elevation: the snow level be around 4000 feet today and to
around 3000 feet tonight.

* Timing: the snow will begin tapering off this evening.

* Locations include: Shaver Lake... Yosemite Valley... Shaver
Lake.

* Winds: gusts to around 45 mph may cause blowing and drifting
of snow.

* Impacts: snow may make some mountain roads impassible. Expect
delays and Road closures. Snow laden branches could break
loose from trees.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow will cause
travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
