... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from noon today to noon MST
Monday...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from noon
today to noon MST Monday.

* Timing... scattered snow showers this morning will become
widespread this afternoon and evening. Snow will diminish Monday
morning.

* Snow accumulation... 4 to 8 inches by noon Monday... mainly in
Pitkin County. Lesser snow amounts are expected over Vail Pass.

* Winds... south to southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25
mph this afternoon will become west by tonight.

* Visibility... 1 to 2 miles in snow dropping to less than one
mile at times during periods of heavier snow.

* Impacts... mountain roads and highways will become icy and snow
packed. Travel will also be affected by reduced visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
