Winter Weather Advisory


... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 am Sunday to
noon MST Monday...

* timing... snow will spread southwest to northeast across the
area early Sunday morning. Snow will then continue Sunday and
Sunday night before diminishing Monday afternoon.

* Snow accumulation... 6 to 12 inches by noon Monday.

* Winds... south to southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25
mph tonight and Sunday morning... then becoming west late
Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

* Visibility... 1 to 2 miles in snow dropping to less than one
mile at times during periods of heavier snow.

* Impacts... mountain roads and highways will become icy and snow
packed. Travel will also be affected by reduced visibilities
and some blowing and drifting snow over the passes.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and/or
blowing snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
