... Wind Advisory in effect from 11 PM this evening to noon EST
Thursday...

The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect from 11 PM this evening to noon EST
Thursday.

Strong west southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts around 45
mph will develop late this evening... and continue overnight into
Thursday morning.

These type of winds will be capable of knocking down ice covered
trees limbs or power lines... mainly across coastal Connecticut

night.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph...
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph... are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile
vehicles. Use extra caution.
