A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight EST
tonight.
This warning includes Hartford County Connecticut... as well as
southwest and south central Massachusetts.
One more pulse of freezing rain is expected this evening before
tapering off. This will mainly impact the higher terrain north and
west of Interstate 84 in Hartford County... both ridges surrounding
the Connecticut River valley in southwest Massachusetts... and the
Worcester Hills in south central Massachusetts.
Additional ice accretion up to one tenth of an inch is possible.
Enough cold air should arrive toward midnight to convert any leftover
freezing rain to snow.
Drive slow and allow plenty of extra time. Icing may cause some
wires or tree limbs to fall to the ground. Be very cautious if
venturing outside.
