Flood Warning


The Flood Warning continues for
the Oconee river near Penfield
* until Thursday afternoon
* at 6 PM Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet... and near steady
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast to
continue.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet
* the river will continue to rise very slowly to near 11.7 feet
after midnight tonight. The river is forecast to fall below
flood stage Thursday evening.
* At 11.0 feet... flood stage is reached. Minor flooding
occurs. The right bank begins to overflow into agricultural lands
and pastures.
