On this date in central Indiana weather history... 1942 from Moran to Kokomo... a tornado struck which wound up killing 4 people and injuring 150 more. The greatest damage was in the Kokomo area. 1990 Decatur... lightning struck a house with such force that it blew a plastic switch plate off a light switch and embedded it in the opposite wall.
