A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST
Monday.
* Timing... widespread light to moderate snow will continue across
south central and southeastern Kansas overnight. The snow is
expected to taper off and transition to freezing drizzle
overnight from west to east as the snow comes to an end.
* Snow accumulations... of 1 to 5 inches are likely. The heaviest
band of snow will along the Oklahoma border with 3 to 5 inches
possible overnight.
* Ice accumulations... should remain less than one-tenth of an
inch... but will likely be enough to create hazardous travel
conditions.
* Impacts... include very slick roadways from the snow and
freezing drizzle... especially for untreated roads... overpasses
and bridges.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
