evening...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening.

* Timing... light snow will continue to affect the Flint Hills and
southeast Kansas this morning. Intermittent light snow or
freezing drizzle is expected across south central and central
Kansas. Periodic light snow or freezing drizzle will continue
across southeast Kansas this afternoon... with chances for light
freezing drizzle... drizzle or a fine light snow across central
and south central Kansas.

* Snow accumulation... totals will range from 3 to 5 inches for
areas along and east of the Kansas Turnpike... with only an inch
or two for locations further to the west.

* Ice accumulations... should remain less than one-tenth of an
inch... but when combined with the snow will likely be enough to
create hazardous travel conditions.

* Impacts... include very slick roadways from the snow and
freezing drizzle... especially for untreated roads... overpasses
and bridges.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
