Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
6 PM CST Monday...

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and freezing drizzle... which is in
effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Monday.

* Timing... light snow will develop across the area overnight
tonight and continue into Monday before mixing with drizzle and
light freezing drizzle by midday. The wintry mix will linger
through the afternoon before diminishing by evening.

* Total snow and ice accumulations... 1 to 2 inches of snow is
expected across the area... primarily between 3 and 10 am. A
period of freezing drizzle on Monday may also produce a thin
glaze of ice prior to temperatures rising above freezing.

* Winds... south winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 mph may
produce some minor blowing and drifting snow Monday morning.

* Impacts... the heaviest snowfall is expected to occur just prior
to and during the morning commute with slick roadways. Freezing
drizzle through midday on Monday may also produce slick roadways
as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Wintry precipitation is forecast to accumulate in the affected
areas causing hazardous driving conditions. Those with travel
plans are advised to choose an alternate Route... or should use
extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.
