Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 1 am CDT Sunday...

The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect until 1 am CDT
Sunday.

* Timing... strong north winds will continue to result in areas of
blowing snow this evening. There is also a slight chance of some
additional light snow.

* Snow accumulations... will only amount to an additional trace to
perhaps one-half inch tonight.

* Winds... of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph will gradually
diminish by midnight.

* Impacts... the gusty winds will result in blowing and drifting of
the snow. Some slick spots and partially snow covered roads can
be expected... especially in rural areas and those that remained
untreated.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of winter weather
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads
and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
