Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening.

* Timing... steady light to moderate snow will end from west to
east across the area through the mid morning hours. Light
snow... drizzle and light freezing drizzle will continue through
the afternoon hours before diminishing by evening.

* Total snow and ice accumulations... an additional half inch to
one inch of snow is expected across the area this
morning... primarily before 10 am. A period of freezing drizzle
mixed with light snow may produce a thin glaze of ice prior to
temperatures rising above freezing this afternoon.

* Winds... south winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts around 25 mph.

* Impacts... the heaviest snowfall will continue during the morning
commute across northeast and east central Kansas. Falling snow
combined with the winds may bring reductions in visibility to
less than a mile at times... as well as slick roadways. Freezing
drizzle through midday on Monday may also produce slick roadways
as well.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Wintry precipitation is forecast to accumulate in the affected
areas causing hazardous driving conditions. Those with travel
plans are advised to choose an alternate Route... or should use
extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.
