Winter Storm Warning


... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am CDT Sunday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 am CDT Sunday.

* Timing... light to moderate snow will continue through tonight
with another period of heavy snow possible late tonight.

* Snow accumulations... of around 5 to 8 inches are expected by
Sunday morning... with some locally higher amounts possible.

* Winds... will begin to diminish some overnight... .but winds may
still be 15 to 25 until midnight.

* Impacts... the gusty winds will result in some drifting of the
snow. Snow covered and slick roads are expected. The heavy wet
snow may cause damage to outdoor vegetation which has already
sprouted leaves.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant winter weather is
expected or occurring. This will make travel very hazardous or
impossible.
