Special Statement

... Patches of dense fog this morning...

The combination of a generally moist atmosphere... mostly clear
skies... calm winds... and recent sporadic rainfall is leading to
patches of dense fog this morning. Caution should be used if
travelling this morning as visibilities may be reduced below a
half mile over very short distances. The most likely locations for
dense fog will be near bodies of water... in sheltered
valleys... and in spots that have received recent rainfall. The fog
should lift by 9 am EDT/8 am CDT.
