Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Thursday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect for the
capital district... eastern Catskills... Mid Hudson
valley... Berkshires and Litchfield Hills through tonight... mainly
across the higher terrain until 7 am EST Thursday.

Periods of light snow will affect the region through tonight. Up
to 2 inches of additional snow is possible by sunrise... with the
most in higher elevations... for total snow accumulations up to 4
inches locally.

Temperatures have generally reached around the freezing mark.
However... untreated roads and surfaces will likely remain very
slick... especially on bridges and overpasses... with additional
snow on top of the mixed precipitation that has already fallen.

This latest wintry precipitation event is the result of two
storms lifting northeastward across the region... which will then
pull away by late tonight.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
