... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Wednesday morning
through Thursday morning...
* hazard types... heavy mixed precipitation.
* Accumulations... 6 or more inches of snow and sleet possible
along with the possibility of around a quarter inch of ice
accretion in spots.
* Timing... snow will begin during the morning on Wednesday... then
transition to a mix of sleet... snow... and rain during the
afternoon and become heavy. All rain is possible for a time on
the coastal plain and across southern New Hampshire. The mixture
may transition to freezing rain in spots Wednesday evening
before changing to all snow late at night into Thursday.
* Impacts... the potential for heavy snow or heavy mixed
precipitation will make for hazardous driving conditions. The
snow that falls would likely be wet and heavy... and along with
sleet and any freezing rain could make for power outage issues.
* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow or mixed precipitation accumulations that may impact travel.
