... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM EST
Thursday...
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 PM EST Thursday.
Snow will continue across the region tonight. The snow could mix
with sleet and freezing rain at times south of a line from Patten to
Mars Hill. Additional snow accumulations tonight are expected to
range from 3 to 5 inches. Any ice accumulations are expected to be
a tenth of an inch or less. Snow will diminish Thursday afternoon.
Storm total snow accumulations are expected to range from 8 t0 10
inches with up to 12 inches across higher terrain.
This storm will have a low impact on the warning area. Snowfall
across the region will fall at light to occasionally moderate
rates for an extended period of time. The long duration of this
storm will result in significant accumulations. However... light
winds and snowfall rates of generally less than one inch per hour
will result in only minor travel difficulties.
Please report accumulations to the National Weather Service by
