The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has extended the

* Flood Warning for an ice jam and snow melt in...
Blue Earth County in south central Minnesota...
Brown County in south central Minnesota...
Faribault County in south central Minnesota...
Le Sueur County in south central Minnesota...
Martin County in south central Minnesota...
Nicollet County in south central Minnesota...
Sibley County in central Minnesota...
southwestern Scott County in east central Minnesota...
Waseca County in south central Minnesota...
Watonwan County in south central Minnesota...
western Carver County in east central Minnesota...

* until 400 PM CDT Monday

* at 350 PM CDT... emergency management and local law enforcement
continued to report areal flooding... with multiple reports of ice
jams resulting in flooded roads. Numerous County and township
roads remain closed. Conditions do seem to be improving and
water levels are beginning to recede... but additional
drainage is expected and the potential for more ice jams remains.

* In addition to rural areas... some other locations that
will experience flooding include New Ulm... St James... Blue
Earth... New Richland... Springfield... Henderson...
Mapleton... Waseca... Janesville... New
Germany... Winnebago... Watertown and Mayer.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Runoff from snow melt and ice jams will cause flooding of
small creeks and streams... country roads... as well as farmland along
the banks of creeks and streams.

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office in the
Twin Cities.
