Areal Flood Warning

... Flood Warning for an ice jam and snow melt remains in effect for
Martin... western Faribault... Watonwan... Blue Earth... Nicollet...
Brown... western Le Sueur... Sibley... southwestern Scott and western
Carver counties until 400 PM CDT Monday...

At 800 PM CDT Saturday evening... flooded small streams were very
slowly receding across much of south central Minnesota. Due to very
high water along the Minnesota river and its immediate
tributaries... overland flooding will be slow to further recede the
remainder of this weekend.

Some locations that will experience flooding include... Blue Earth...
Fairmont... Mankato... New Ulm... St James... St Peter... Amboy...
Arlington... Ceylon... Cleveland... Cologne... Comfrey... Courtland...
Darfur... Delavan... Dunnell... Eagle Lake... Elmore... Evan... Gaylord...
Gibbon... Good Thunder... Green Isle... Hamburg... Hanska... Henderson...
Kasota... Klossner... La Salle and Lafayette.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.

Report flooding to the nearest law enforcement agency so that they
may take appropriate action to close flooded roadways. They will
relay your report to the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities.
