Flood Warning


The Flood Warning continues for
the Minnesota river at Granite Falls.
* At 7:40 am Sunday the stage was 889.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 888.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 892.8 feet by
early Tuesday morning March 23rd then begin falling. Additional rises
are possible.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 891.6
feet on Apr 27 2001.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Minnesota river at Montevideo.
* At 11:00 am Sunday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.9 feet by
tomorrow evening March 22nd then begin falling. Additional rises
are possible.
* Impact... at 18.0 feet... sanitary sewers begin to be affected at this
level.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 18.3 feet
on Mar 29 2009.
