Flood Warning


The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Red Wing.
* At 7:00 am Sunday the stage was 11.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise to near flood stage
Thursday evening March 25th. Additional rises are possible.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin to experience flooding.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 15.3 feet
on Jun 28 1993.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River missing Red Wing l/d 3.
* At 8:00 am Sunday the stage was 678.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 680.5 feet.
* Forecast... rise to near flood stage by Wednesday March 24th and
continue to rise to near 680.8 feet by Friday morning March 26th.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 682.5
feet on Jun 28 1993.

the Mississippi River near Hastings l/d 2.
* At 10:45 am Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 18.0 feet by
Thursday morning March 25th then begin falling. Additional rises
are possible.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... flood waters begin to affect eastern
portions of Hastings.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 16.9 feet
on Apr 7 1986.

* At 11:15 am Sunday the stage was 16.4 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 19.5 feet by
early Wednesday morning March 24th then begin falling. Additional
rises are possible.
* Impact... at 18.0 feet... Warner Road may become impassable due to
high water.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 19.6 feet
on Jun 26 1993.

the Minnesota river at Savage.
* At 11:00 am Sunday the stage was 707.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 702.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 712.0 feet by
Wednesday evening March 24th then begin falling. Additional
rises are possible.
* Impact... at 712.0 feet... water begins to back up The Eagle creek and
block the Highway 101 frontage Road.
* Flood history... this level compares to a previous crest of 713.7
feet on Jun 26 1993.
