Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and freezing drizzle remains in
effect until midnight CST tonight.

* Location... central to north central and northeast Missouri.

* Timing... light snow has been diminishing through the afternoon
hours as the system progresses to the east. For the remainder of
the afternoon and into this evening... the lingering light snow will
become mixed with patchy freezing drizzle.

* Total snow accumulations... as of 2pm snowfall amounts of 1 to 3
inches were reported. Little to no additional snow accumulation is
expected.

* Impacts... roadways will be slick and hazardous with the areas
of light snow. Travel will remain difficult this afternoon and
this evening as conditions transition to areas of freezing
drizzle.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and freezing
drizzle will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for
snow and ice covered roads and limited visibilities... and use
caution while driving.
