Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST
Monday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST
Monday.

* Location... west central to northwest Missouri and adjacent
areas of Kansas.

* Timing... light to moderate snow will begin to fall across the
region during the early morning hours of Monday. The heaviest
snowfall will likely occur during the morning commute to work.
However... by late Monday morning... the snow may change to or mix
with freezing drizzle.

* Total snow accumulations... of 1 to 3 inches are expected
across the region... primarily in the morning hours... but a
light glaze of ice is expected as the event comes to an end.

* Impacts... the heaviest snowfall is expected during the Monday
morning commute to work... which will result in hazardous driving
conditions. For the afternoon hours... any additional snow or any
freezing drizzle... will continue to make travel difficult.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and freezing
drizzle will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for
snow and ice covered roads and limited visibilities... and use
caution while driving.
