Flood Warning


The Flood Warning continues for
the Buttahatchie river near Aberdeen
* until Monday morning
* at 11 am Friday the stage was 16.4 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast
* maximum forecast stage of 16.6 feet this afternoon
* flood stage is 13.0 feet
* at 18.0 feet... water is flowing over airbase Road on the West Bank
of the river

... Flood Warning extended until Saturday afternoon...

The Flood Warning continues for
the luxapallila creek near Columbus
* until Saturday afternoon... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:15 am Friday the stage was 20.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
late tomorrow morning.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... widespread flooding is occurring,
especially in areas north of Columbus. Flood water is blocking
portions of Propst Park. Flooding is also occurring in the area
near Black Creek Road. Access to several homes on sand Road is
restricted due to high water
