... Strong thunderstorms will move rapidly north northeast across
portions of the coastal plain and northeast Piedmont through 830 am...

At 635 am... Doppler radar indicated a broken line of thunderstorms
extending from near Louisburg southward to Clinton... moving north
northeast at 55 mph.

Some locations to be affected by these thunderstorms include...
Louisburg... Smithfield... Wilson... Goldsboro... Clinton...
Warrenton... and Roanoke Rapids.

Hazards include...
pea size hail...
gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph...

If you are in the path of these showers and storms... be prepared
for sudden strong wind gusts. These winds are capable of knocking
down small trees and branches and blowing around light objects such
as trash cans... potted plants... and lawn furniture. Stay indoors
in a sturdy building until the storm has passed.
