is cancelled.
* At 10:15 am Wednesday the stage was 22.8 feet.
* Minor flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
continue to rise to near 28.0 feet by Saturday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage by Tuesday early afternoon.
* The river is forecast to crest at 28.0 on Saturday morning during

* Forecast... the river will rise to a crest near 16.5 feet sometime
tomorrow morning. The river will fall below flood stage early
Monday morning.
* The river is forecast to crest at 16.5 on tomorrow morning during
this 7-day period.

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
eastern Cavalier County in northeast North Dakota...
Pembina County in northeast North Dakota...
Walsh County in northeast North Dakota...

* until 300 PM CDT Thursday

* runoff from the excessive rainfall of the past 3 days will
continue to cause widespread overland flooding from central Walsh
County into western Pembina and far eastern Cavalier counties.

* Public and emergency managers reported between 5.50 and 9.50 inches
of rain has fallen along the Escarpment from Park River to Walhalla.

* Areas impacted include Edinburgh..Park River... Hoople... Crystal...
Cavalier... mountain... Walhalla... Milton and Olga.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around dont drown. Avoid driving on flooded roads. Most flood
related deaths occur in automobiles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. If flash flooding is observed act quickly. Do
not enter the water. Turn around and move up to higher ground to
escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when
water begins rising.
