Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* precipitation... a combination of light snow and light freezing
drizzle will fall into the afternoon. Locations north of
Interstate 80 should eventually experience more snow than
freezing drizzle... especially during the afternoon. North
central Kansas and southern Nebraska will experience more in the
way of freezing drizzle... until temperatures rise above
freezing. The precipitation will end from west to east from mid
to late afternoon.

* Snow and ice accumulation... total snowfall accumulations of 1
to 2 inches are anticipated... with the best potential for 2
inch amounts focused north of Interstate 80 in south central
Nebraska. In addition... freezing drizzle is expected to
produce a thin glaze of ice in many areas.

* Impact... the combination of snow and freezing drizzle will
create slick conditions on roadways and outdoor surfaces.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
