Winter Storm Watch

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning...

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning.

This Winter Storm Watch continues for northern Connecticut... southern
New Hampshire... Rhode Island... and Massachusetts.

A storm moving out of the Midwest on Saturday will spread snow
into southern New England. The snow will reach Hartford and
Springfield around 4 to 5 PM Saturday... Providence and Worcester
around 6 to 7 PM... and Boston and Manchester around 8 to 9 PM. The snow
may fall heavily at times Saturday night and early Sunday morning
with 6 inches or more possible by the time the storm comes to an end
by late Sunday morning or early afternoon. Lesser amounts will likely
occur on the immediate south coasts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts
as well as the cape and islands.

A Winter Storm Watch is issued for the potential of accumulating
snow of 6 or more inches in a 12 hour period... or 8 or more
inches in a 24 hour period. Anyone traveling in the next 24 to
36 hours should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to modify
travel plans should winter weather develop.
