Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Saturday
to midnight EST Saturday night...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Saturday to
midnight EST Saturday night.

Light snow could arrive close to sunrise Saturday morning. As
warmer air moves in aloft the snow will mix with rain and sleet
during the afternoon and probably change over to plain rain during
the evening. There might be some pockets of freezing rain during
the first half of the evening. Precipitation should transition
back to freezing rain and sleet and then snow before it ends
overnight on Saturday.

Final snow and sleet accumulations should average between 1 and
3 inches. There is some uncertainty as to how quickly both
changeovers will occur and amounts might have to be adjusted with
later forecasts.

Please be prepared for more difficult and hazardous driving
conditions as Saturday continues. This would especially be true
for Saturday night if freezing rain occurs. Heavier snow should
fall in places farther to the northwest.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
