Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Saturday
to 7 am EST Sunday...

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 am Saturday to
7 am EST Sunday.

A winter storm will approach from the Central Plains late tonight
and spread snow into central New York after daybreak tomorrow.

Steady snow will begin across The Finger lakes after daybreak and
spread east toward the Interstate 81 corridor by noon. Snow may
become heavy at times during the late afternoon and continuing
through the evening. The snow will taper off to light snow
showers Sunday morning.

Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are expected across the
area... with the heaviest amounts over the northern tier of
Pennsylvania and the western Catskills. However... any shift
northward will shift the heaviest axis of snow further north.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
