High Surf Advisory

... High surf advisory in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon
for the South Washington... north and central Oregon coast...

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect until 2 PM PST this afternoon.

Strong winds overnight have generated a large area of locally
generated swell offshore. Expect west swells of 22 to 25 ft to
move through the coastal surf zone this morning. Large swells will
be along the north Oregon coast.

Seas will slowly subside late this morning and this afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
