High Surf Advisory


... High surf advisory now in effect until 11 PM PDT this
   evening...

The high surf advisory is now in effect until 11 PM PDT this
evening.

Breakers of 21 to 23 feet are expected through late Tuesday
evening along the south Oregon coast. Breakers will reach their
peak height early Tuesday evening. Hazardous conditions will
result... including dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves that
can wash over jetties.

People planning activities at the beach should remain alert for
these developing conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
