High Surf Advisory

... High surf advisory in effect until 3 PM PST this afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect until 3 PM PST this afternoon.

West swells of 17 to 20 feet at 12 to 13 seconds will impact the
south Oregon coast through mid afternoon today. These swells will
cause breakers in the surf zone of 20 to 25 feet.

The large swells will decrease to around 15 feet from late
afternoon through evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion. Stay clear of the surf zone!
