The National Weather Service in Pendleton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until noon PST
Sunday.
Total snow fall over the central Oregon is expected to reach 2 to
5 inches. The heaviest accumulations are from Bend south and west
along Highway 97... also affecting Sunriver and La Pine. The snow
will mainly accumulate between midnight tonight and mid morning
Sunday.
Also a Wind Advisory for occasional winds of 30 to 40 mph with
gusts to 50 mph is in effect for this area. Thus areas of blowing
snow and drifting snow can be expected. Blowing snow can cause
local visibility reductions down to one-quarter mile or less at
times.
Most of this snow will accumulate tonight and continue through
Sunday afternoon. Additionally... sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph
with gusts up to 35 mph at pass levels will result in areas of
blowing snow with local visibility reductions down to one- quarter
mile of less at times.

when sustained winds or frequent gusts to 35 mph are expected
with falling and or blowing and drifting snow. Visibilities may

South to southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 55 mph
will develop later tonight and persist through Sunday morning.
Strongest winds will occur along and west of Highway 97...
including the cities of Sisters... Redmond... Bend... and La
Pine.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast
between 30 and 39 mph or gusts ranging from 45 to 57 mph. Winds
