... Flood Warning extended until 4 am Tuesday...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Firesteel creek near Mount Vernon.
* At 08pm Sunday the stage was 8.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Monday March 22.
* At stages near 8.0 feet... the right bank overflows.

The Flood Warning continues for
the James River at Mitchell.
* At 09pm Sunday the stage was 23.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will hold fairly steady between 24.0 and 24.5
feet for the next several days.
* At stages near 25.0 feet... water reaches the bottom of the bridge
on 257th street at the gage... and Highway 42 east of Ethan will be
flooded.
