A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM CST this
afternoon.
Snow will continue through the night... mainly along and east of a
line from Hecla to Clark. So far... reports of snowfall trickling
in range from a trace to 2 inches. Additional light accumulations
may work into the advisory area from the northwest between now and
6 am CST... but the primary area of accumulating snow over the next
several hours will focus on the very northeast corner of South
Dakota and west central Minnesota... with 1 to 3 inches of snowfall
possible between now and 6 am CST. Greater areal coverage of light
snow is expected to pick back up Friday morning and persist
through Friday afternoon. Expect total snowfall accumulations of 2
to 5 inches. Increasing winds on Friday from the northwest could
cause some blowing snow and lowered visibilities... especially in
the afternoon.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
