Special Weather Statement

... Wintry mix still expected across the mid state tonight...

A storm system will bring a wintry mix of light snow... sleet... and
rain to the area tonight. This wintry mix will enter areas along
the Tennessee River around sunset... then spread eastward across
the rest of the area through the evening. The winter weather will
change over to rain after midnight as warmer air aloft spreads
over the region.

With temperatures forecast to remain near or above
freezing... only minor accumulations of snow or sleet are expected
mainly on grassy areas and elevated surfaces. The best chance for
any snow or sleet accumulations will be across northwestern middle
Tennessee along and north of a line from Camden to Clarksville.

Uncertainty remains on how much if any accumulations can occur.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio and your local media for the
latest forecasts and updates on this winter weather situation.
