... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Louisiana and Texas...
including the following areas... in Louisiana... Allen...
Avoyelles... Beauregard... Calcasieu... East Cameron...
Evangeline... Jefferson Davis... Rapides... Vernon and West
Cameron. In Texas... Hardin... Jefferson... northern Jasper...
northern Newton... Orange... southern Jasper... southern Newton
and Tyler.

* From Monday morning through Tuesday morning

* another round of heavy rain is expected to fall on already
saturated ground in southeast Texas... as well as southwest and
central Louisiana from late Monday morning into Monday
afternoon. With another round of heavy rain expected to
redevelop late Monday night. Area averages are expected to range
from 2 to 4 inches with isolated higher amounts.

* Areas that see heavy rainfall within a short time could receive
flood water to depths that would impact property and people in
those areas. Area creeks... streams and rivers are also likely to
experience rises.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
