... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening...
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening.
A strong cold front pushing through south central Texas this
morning will bring blustery north winds to the region today.
Northerly winds will increase to 25 to 35 mph with higher gusts
of 35 to 45 mph behind the cold front. Therefore a Wind Advisory
is in effect from 6 am until 8 PM this evening. Winds will
subside to 15 to 20 mph after 8 PM.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 26 to 39 mph are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Sunday evening...
The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
Fire Weather Watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon
through Sunday evening.
On Sunday humidities will fall into the teens to near 20 across
much of the region as winds will continue to blow out of the north
and northwest at 15 to 25 mph. This will result fire weather values
near or above critical levels by Sunday afternoon. Therefore a
Fire Weather Watch has been issued for Sunday afternoon and evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Fire Weather Watch means weather conditions are expected to
promote fires that will be difficult to control across the watch
area. A Fire Weather Watch is completely separate from a local
burn ban which is issued by local officials.
