Wind Advisory

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM CDT this evening...

Although winds have subsided a little early this morning... a
strong pressure gradient and heating will allow northwest winds to
increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 40 mph around mid
morning. The winds will subside early this evening as the pressure
gradient lessons and the sun sets.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Drivers of vans... campers... trailers... and other high-profile
vehicles should be alert to the danger of these winds...
especially when driving along northeast to southwest oriented
roads

Special Weather Statement

Much colder temperatures are on tap through Sunday night in the
wake of the cold front that pushed through the region on Saturday.
Elevated winds and lingering cloudiness should keep the vast majority
of the region above freezing tonight and Sunday night. However... it
cannot be ruled out that a very few localized spots might bottom
out around 32 degrees. Isolated locations generally north of a
Columbus to Cleveland line would be the favored locations should
this occur. Since the growing season has already started... gardeners
might want to protect tropical plants or susceptible vegetation
tonight and Sunday night.
