... Areas of locally dense fog across central Virginia and
northeast North Carolina this morning...

Areas of dense fog have developed across central Virginia and
northeast North Carolina this morning. Visibilities generally
range from one half mile to 2 miles... but visibilities down to one
quarter of a mile have been observed. Motorists should be alert
for sudden changes in visibility. Drive at reduced speeds and use
low beam headlights. Visibilities will begin to improve by mid
morning as temperatures warm into the 70s.
