* Major flooding is occurring. The forecast is for major flooding.
* Forecast... the river will continue to rise and crest near 33.5 feet
around 10 PM Thursday. The river willremain near 33.5 feet into
early Friday morningthen begin receding slowly. The river will fall
below flood stage Saturday night.
* Impact... at 33.0 feet... the Snohomish river will cause severe near
record flooding. Flood waters will likely overtop levees... with
major levee damage possible. Flood waters will inundate much of the
River Valley... including sr2 west of Monroe... sr9 and the
Lowell-Snohomish river Rd. Flooding will occur all along the river
including headwaters... tributaries... and other streams within and
near the Snohomish river Basin. A stage of 33 feet on the Snohomish
river corresponds to a phase 4 in the Snohomish County flood
program.

* until Saturday evening.
* At 9:30 PM Thursday the stage was 23.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring. The forecast is for major flooding.
* Forecast... the river crested at 24.0 feet at 7 PM Thursday and will
remain near 24 feet into early Friday morning. The river will fall
below flood stage Saturday early afternoon.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... the Snohomish river will cause severe
flooding... with deep and swift flood waters inundating farm land...
residential areas... and roads. Levees could suffer overtopping and
major damage. Flooding will occur all along the river including
headwaters... tributaries... and other streams within and near the
Snohomish river Basin. A stage of 22 feet at this location
corresponds to phase 4 in the Snohomish County Flood Warning
system.

* At 9:00 PM Thursday the stage was 13.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Fell below flood stage early this afternoon.
* Forecast... the river fell below flood stage at 2:43 PM Thursday
and will continue to fall. Flooding will continue in some areas
until the flood wave has completely passed downstream.

* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast... the river has crested and will continue to fall to below
flood stage tonight.
* Impact... at 14.0 feet... the stillaguamish river will locally spill
over its banks. Minor flooding around Silvana will occur...
including over Pioneer Highway. A stage of 14 feet on the
stillaguamish river corresponds roughly to phase 2 in the Snohomish
County flood program.
