Air Stagnation Advisory

... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening...

An air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening.

Air stagnation will continue to be a problem over much of the
upper Columbia Basin... the Spokane area... and in the valleys of
the northern and central Idaho Panhandle this evening. A low
pressure system will track through the region tonight. This system
will weaken the temperature inversion and bring a good chance of
rain to most of eastern Washington and northern Idaho.

An air stagnation advisory is issued when stagnant air holds
pollutants close to the ground... where people live and breathe. It
is highly recommended that no outdoor burning occur during times
of stagnant air and that you restrict burning in your indoor
fireplace as much as possible.

Some cities that are included in the air stagnation advisory
are... Spokane... Coeur D'Alene... Kellogg... Sandpoint... Colville...
Omak... mansfiled... Ritzville... and Moses Lake.
