Air Stagnation Advisory

... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening...

An air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST this
evening.

Air stagnation will continue to be a problem today. Light winds
and a strong temperature inversion will remain over the region
through the evening. The arrival of a low pressure system tonight
will weaken the inversion and bring rain to most areas tonight.
The arrival of the rain should improve the dispersion of low
level pollutants.

An air stagnation advisory is issued when stagnant air holds
pollutants close to the ground... where people live and breathe.
It is highly recommended that no outdoor burning occur during
times of stagnant air and that you restrict burning in your
indoor fireplace as much as possible.
