Flood Warning


... Flood Warning extended until late Sunday night... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Yakima river at Kiona
* from tomorrow early afternoon until late Sunday night
* at 9 PM Thursday, the stage was 8.8 feet
* minor flooding is forecast
* flood stage is 13.0 feet
* the river is forecast to rise above flood stage by tomorrow early
afternoon and continue to rise to near 14.9 feet by Saturday
afternoon. The river will then fall below flood stage by Sunday
before midnight.
* At 15.0 feet... at this level, there will be moderate flooding of
farmland, roads and some residential areas.

... Flood Warning extended until Friday evening... the Flood Warning
continues for
the Walla Walla river near Touchet
* until Friday evening
* at 8 PM Thursday, the stage was 14.0 feet
* minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue
* flood stage is 13.0 feet
* the river is forecast to continue to rise to near 14.5 feet early
Friday morning. The river will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
afternoon.
* At 15.0 feet... moderate flooding of areas along the river.
This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.1 feet on Jan 6 1969.


Turn around, don't drown. Do not drive vehicles through flooded
areas.
